Tried and tested recipes: Successes and fails!
If I want to cook a dish I tend to compare a number of variations of the recipe from different sites, online videos and cookbooks to get a feel for the core recipe and how to tweak it. I like cook a range of dishes but have a tendency towards recipes from the Middle East, India, Japan, Asian flavours and Modern European; predominantly vegetarian and fish dishes.
I'm on my bread journey and have had some successes (Chapati) and some epic fails (baguettes, focaccia). Scones as well, everyone says they're so easy, they're not - Mine generally turn out like little hockey pucks!
