About Me

I'm Judith, and I think you'll have picked up from this site that I love travelling and cooking. I grew up eating global cuisine in the seventies and eighties which was quite rare for the time as my Mum loved to cook and she'd spent 20 years living abroad with my Dad who was a mechanical engineer. They lived in Pakistan, Kuwait, Oman, Hong Kong and she used this to inspire her home cooking. I've asked her to share her Persian chicken loomis recipe and that is coming soon.

Sometimes my husband Nick will make an appearance; usually in the form of a simple, tasty recipe that he's found and made for me. In some ways he can be more adventurous than me and will try recipes and flavours that I wouldn't think I'd like but it turns out I love <cauliflower rice>. His preference is for simple, quick one pot meals which is a nice balance to my complicated, use every utensil in the kitchen style of cooking.

Archie our black cat will also make an appearance too I'm sure! He is a very picky eater, his current love is Sheba chicken pouches, but I'm sure this will have changed by the time we bulk buy it for him
