Courses, cookbooks, foreign food magazines, exotic ingredients and other foodlovers
All of these things inspire me. Whichever country I've travelled to I'll always make a beeline for a supermarket or spice-market and fill up with local flavours to bring home and cook: Loomis (dried lime) from Oman, Furikake (rice seasoning) from Japan and wattleseeds from Australia. I won't lie, sometimes they make it home and languish on the shelf unloved, most of the time though I have a lot of fun cooking with them and remembering the fabulous flavours and food I enjoyed in that country.
I want to share some of the great cookery courses and training days I've been on both in the UK and abroad and some take away tips from the sessions, inspiring eats and ingredients and food magazines, food is so much fun.
